12:00-12:30 – Breath and movement workshop: Lunch break with WCU
A different kind of lunch break where certified yoga instructor Irene Domínguez guides you through a pattern of movement and breathing. This workshop has free admission and suits everyone, regardless of age and physical condition. On Friday, the workshop is held outside Dokkhuset at Solsiden.
15:00 – Litterært kollektiv: Blaff:poesi
Litterært kollektiv is a society that works to promote literature and culture in Trondheim. Blaff:poesi (flash poetry) is text that has been produced over a short period of time, in this case 48 hours. Ahead of Klimafestivalen, the theme given was «hamskifte» (moulting), and you can see a selection of the resulting poetry at Stammen over the festival weekend.
17:00-20:00 – Engineers without Borders: Solar Energy in Tanzania / Humanitarian Mapping
Engineers Without Borders Norway is an development organization that contributes with engineering expertise in humanitarian aid. Their vision is to promote development through engineering expertise.
As part of Klimafestivalen they will give an overview of their current activities:
– Intro Engineers without Borders Norway
– Project work: Providing solar power to a hospital in Tanzania
– Help from home: Humanitarian mapping with Missing Maps
After the presentations you can participate in a mapathon and support regions in need with up-to-date and free maps for humanitarian organisations. Just bring your laptop along and they will get you going!
This event takes place at Work-Work in Munkegata.
17:30 – Opening of art exhibition: Garbage Kills Us Make It Sweet
Garbage Kills Us Make It Sweet is an art project by Monica Larsen Donovan that confronts us with the all the litter surrounding us in our everyday lives.
A selection of the artist’s work will be exhibited at Galleri ISAK during the festival. The exhibition will open on Friday at 17:30 with an introduction to the project by the artist herself.
18:00-20:00 – Workshop on plastic reduction: Fast i plast!
Friends of the Earth Norway and Framtiden i Våre Hender are hosting a workshop on plastic reduction at Kulturhuset ISAK in Prinsens gate 44. This event will be held in Norwegian.
